From an early age I remember having a great passion for speed. It must be the adrenaline and even a certain amount of fear that attracts me to the sport, but most of all, it would be the people, sounds, burnt fuel, hot tyres and oils that make the whole experience worthwhile.
Having been involved in managing VIP Suites at racetracks around South Africa and especially Kyalami, I have heard positive and negative comments made about motorsport, and as with everything in life, you either love it or hate it. I have been asked the question….”How can you sit and look at a lot of cars going round and round a track?” and I would think….Why do fans follow a sport that has 30, 22 or even 14 people running after a inflated/stuffed dead animal skin and knock, slam or kick it around?
I have a suitable or “the ultimate ” answer.
