World Superbike 2009 – You have my Attention

If the first round of the World Superbike Championship at Phillip Island is any indication of what we could possibly expect from two wheel racing this season we will be in for a real treat. I will most definitely be following the close racing the SBK Championship supplies.
Max Neukirchner and his Suzuki GSX-R 1000 K9 certainly showed “Nitro Nori” Haga and the Xerox Ducati what they can do as did Ben Spies and the Yamaha YZF R1 in the second race of the day. Close, fast and exiting racing which is a must to follow for the real motorsport fan.
I hope that the start of the Moto GP series will follow suit or they might lose some followers and viewers soon.

I’ve also had a renewed interest in Superbikes this year. I agree with the 1st round under the belt it looks as if it’s going to be a cracker of a year.
I’m even more psyched that they are coming here to South Africa! Going to be incredible watching them blasting around my favorite haunt.
